DIY fishing sound like you? At the Sterling Escape we have you covered! In our garage you will find everything you need to fish on your own, at many of the Kenai River access points nearby. You'll find hip waders, rods, reels, nets, tackle, along with coolers, coffee mugs and some other items you might need to complete you packing for your day of fishing! There is also a chest freezer in the garage to store your fish until you depart.
We are local Alaskans! We operate a sport fishing guide service, ChasingTales Alaska, on the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers all season long. We will be nearby to help with any of your needs. We are available for any questions or feel free to reach out anytime about your trip. Additionally, we offer discounted guided fishing rates for all of our guests.

The town of Sterling has some amenities including small stores, restaurants, gas stations and cafes. For grocery shopping, you will want to visit those in Anchorage on your way, or head down to Soldotna.
